Because long, long before everyone and their mother called themselves outdoorsy, someone had to go outdoorsy and kill dinner. And for over 150 years, Field & Stream has celebrated that rough and tumble spirit and championed that campfire story voice. For those who’ve gone toe to toe with an Alaskan Brown Bear. Made fishing rods from ram’s horn. Survived the night in below freezing temperatures without a shiver, just a bottle of whiskey- then woke up bright eyed and bushy tailed to eat a squirrel for breakfast. Delicious.
